ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to allot paddy to the petitioner's mill, namely Sri Sivasubramania Raja Modern Rice Mill, situated at Puliyankudi, Tirunelveli District, by considering his representation, dated 12.10.2019. 2.The petitioner is a Hulling Agent appointed by the respondent. A criminal case came to be registered in crime No.183 of 2019 by the Inspector of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Tirunelveli for the offence under Section 6(4) of TNSC (RDCS) Order, 1982 r/w 7 (1)(a)(ii) of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 on 18.09.2019. In an investigation, the driver of the vehicle confessed that he transferred rice to the petitioner's mill. Immediately, after that, the respondent stopped supplying rice for hulling to the petitioner' mill. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner made a representation on 12.10.

2019. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that if a direction is given to the respondent to decide the above said representation, dated 12.10.2019, within a time frame, the petitioner would be satisfied.

4.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, a direction is given to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 12.10.2019, and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
