Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the Judicial Magistrate Court, Palani to expedite the trial in DVOP.No.33 of 2022 and complete the same within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to dispose of the case in DVOP.No.33 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial 1/4

Magistrate Court, Palani within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for petitioner. Since the revision is filed for seeking early disposal, no notice is necessary to the other respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the revision petitioner submitted that the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnized on 22.08.2022 as per Muslim Rites and Customs. Due to the matrimonial dispute, the petitioner herein filed a petition under Section 12 of Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 in DVO.P.No.33 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Palani against the respondents and the same is being adjourned for the past two years without assigning any valid reason and therefore, the said petition may be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. Having been taken into consideration of the material facts and circumstances and that the said petition is pending for the past two years, this Court is of the view that in the interest of justice, a direction may be issued to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palani to dispose of the said 2/4

petition as expeditiously as possible.

5. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Palani to dispose of the said DVO.P.No.33 of 2022 pending on his file within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
