ORDER

This writ petition was filed seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the first and second respondents to permit the petitioner Society to conduct Panguni festival for Arulmigu Mariamman Thirukovil-Nilakottai on 19.03.2017, 31.03.2017, 02.04.2017, 09.04.2017 to 13.04.2017. 2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent based on the written instructions provided to him by the Inspector, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Nilakottai dated 04.01.2024, submits that the permission sought for by the petitioner was granted and the Panguni festival was conducted during the year 2017. Further, the Panguni festival is being conducted peacefully every year. 2/4
