This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the first respondent to withdraw the First Information Report registered in Crime No.59 of 2018, on the file of the third respondent herein and entrust the same to the fourth respondent for conducting further investigation and file a final report within the time as stipulated by this Court.
2. Today, when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that in respect to the First Information Report registered in Crime No.59 of 2018, the first respondent Police has completed the investigation and filed a final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi and the same was assigned with case number as P.R.C.No.16 of 2019. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.19833 of 2018 above said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) is recorded.
3. In view of the above, since the prayer sought for by the petitioner has become infructuous, no further order is necessary in this petition. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
