The present writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent Nos.5, 6 and 8 to conduct a Public Meeting at Thoothukudi for two days as per the procedures laid down in the Office Memorandum No.J-15012/29/2010-1A-II (M), dated 19.04.2010, of the first respondent before submitting report to the third Respondent by the sixth Respondent within a time frame.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the abovesaid public meeting is already over and therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
