ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed for extension of time for compliance of the conditional order passed in Crl.O.P(MD).No.18811 of 2023 dated 19.10.2023.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Hon'ble Court passed an order in Crl.O.P(MD).No.18811 of 2023 dated 19.10.2023 and enlarged the petitioner on anticipatory bail by imposing certain conditions. He further submits that this petitioner is not in a position to arrange the sureties within the stipulated time limit as imposed by this Hon'ble Court. This petitioner is suffering with illness, he could not arrange sureties. Hence, he prayed to extend the time period, by allowing this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the anticipatory bail order 2/5

was passed on 19.10.2023, but, the petitioner did not surrender and execute bond with sureties as per the order of this Court passed in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.18811 of 2023 dated 19.10.2023. Till now, this petitioner has not taken any steps to comply the conditions imposed against him in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.18811 of 2023 dated 19.10.2023. Hence, he prays to dismiss this extension petition.

4. This Court had granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner by way of order dated 19.10.2023 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.18811 of 2023 by imposing certain conditions. But, till now, this petitioner did not take any steps to comply the conditions imposed against him in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.18811 of 2023 dated 19.10.2023. After expiry of nearly one year and ten months, this petitioner come forward with this present extension petition that too without assigning any valid reasons or grounds. It shows the lethargic attitude of the petitioner and this petitioner has not assigned any valid ground and he failed to produce any medical certificates to 3/5

prove his illness. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to allow this present Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed.
