PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime no.618 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent Police, COMMON ORDER The petitioner / accused seeks bail in all the three cases.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
3. All these three cases are by the same petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that once the petitioner got arrested in yet another case, all the unsolved cases were foisted against the petitioner and the petitioner is in long custody ie. from the year 2022. As a matter of fact, in the connected case, the petitioner was convicted for three years and the period itself is about to get over. Therefore, he seeks bail in all these three cases.
4. Be that as it may, it is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that in all these three cases the trial is about to be over and all the three cases are posted tomorrow (ie.24.09.2024) for examination of the investigating officer.
5. In that view of the matter, at this stage, the petitioner need not be enlarged on bail and the prayer for enlargement of bail is rejected. However, since the 3/5
petitioner is under incarceration, the prosecution shall expedite the trial and try to examine the Investigating Officer by tomorrow itself (ie.24.09.2024) or within such short date and the trial Court shall also take up the matter for arguments within such short date and complete the case, in any event, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
