The above petition has been filed seeking orders to condone the delay of 91 days in preferring the appeal, challenging the award passed in M.C.O.P.No.45 of 2020 dated 02.03.2024 on the file of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal / III Additional District Court, Thanjavur @ Pattukkottai.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner may be permitted to deposit the entire award amount.

Considering the facts and circumstances and also taking note of the quantum of delay, this Court is inclined to condone the delay. Accordingly, this petition is ordered and the Registry is directed to number the appeal, if it is otherwise in order and post the same on 12.03.2026 for admission.
