ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents to remove the buildings around the "Arulmigu Aranganatha Swamy Temple", Srirangam, Trichy, which were built or being built in violation to the G.O.Ms. 22 of 1997 dated 30.01.1997 of the first respondent and consequently, to direct the respondents to act diligently in strictly implementing the G.O.Ms.22 of 1997 dated 30.01.1997 of the first respondent in future.
2. The learned Government Pleader for the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and the learned counsel for the seventh respondent temple would submit that unauthorized constructions are identified with the assistance of Tiruchirappalli Municipal Corporation and enforcement actions are initiated and notices are issued to the owners/occupiers under the relevant provisions of the Act.
3. It is needless to state that the enforcement actions must be continued and all the unauthorized constructions are to be removed by affording opportunity to the parties and by following the procedures as contemplated
under law. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. (S.M.S.,J.)
