This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb and for his property based on the petitioner's representation, dated 27.09.2019

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for the respondent police.

3. Admittedly, there are so many proceedings pending between the petitioner and the counter party, before the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department, Madurai, and also they preferred civil suits in respect of their administration of the temple in connection with Chellandiamman and Adaikalam Katha Ayyanar Temple. While being so, the petitioner sought for police protection from the second respondent. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.15516 of 2019 sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. This Criminal Original Petition is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed. However, the petitioner is directed to appear before the civil Forum for appropriate relief.
