ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The writ petitioner is a retired employee of the respondent Corporation. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.12.2019. His retirement benefits were however settled only on 24.01.2021. It is well settled that on such belated payment, the petitioner is entitled to 6% interest.

3. Therefore, the respondent is directed to pay interest to the writ petitioner at the rate of 6% per annum for the delay period from 31.12.2019 to 24.01.2021. This amount shall be paid within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
