2. The petitioner seeks disbursement of 50% of the crop insurance amount.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that the revenue record in respect of the petition-mentioned land is in the name of the writ petitioner's father-in-law (Nagoor Pitchai). After his demise, the property devolved on his son, husband of the writ petitioner. Unfortunately, apart from the writ petitioner, her husband had one other wife. The second wife is said to be in cultivation of half of the land. Since her name had been entered in Adangal, she was given crop insurance amount for the land which she had cultivated. The other half is said to be fallow. If the petitioner cultivates the said vacant land and files the relevant records, the authorities are ready to consider her request. 2/4

4. Recording the stand of the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
