Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime 1/3

2 CRL.O.P.(MD)NO.19855 OF 2021 No.735 of 2021 registered on the file of Melur police station, Madurai District. The petitioner's son was done to death on 28.11.2021. The petitioner's daughter-in-law / wife of the deceased is the prime accused in the said case. According to the petitioner, the manner in which the body of his son was found indicates the involvement of more than one person. However, the police are maintaining that the wife of the deceased was alone involved in the occurrence. Therefore, the petitioner wants transfer of investigation.

3. After hearing the learned counsel on either side, I am satisfied that a direction to the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police to monitor the investigation would meet the ends of justice.

4. With direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Melur, to monitor the investigation in Crime No.735 of 2021, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
