ORDER

The present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court, dated 12.08.2022 made in W.P(MD)No.18143 of 2022. In the said writ petition, this Court has directed the Secretary to Government and the Director of Legal Studies to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 21.09.2021 and pass orders.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents brought to the notice of the Court that the first respondent has passed orders on 25.08.2023 and the second respondent has passed a consequential order on 11.09.2023.

3. Paragraph No.7 of the order, dated 11.09.2023 is extracted herein: "7. In this connection, I am to state that necessary action is being taken by the Government to grant upward movement to the individuals appointed in the year 2012 including the writ 2/5

petitioner Dr.E.Murugaesan and the file has been sent to Hon'ble Minister (Law) seeking orders to constitute a Screening-CumEvaluation Committee for the purpose of assessing their suitability for awarding upward movement under Career Advancement Scheme. On receipt of the file, necessary Government orders will be issued constituting a Screening-CumEvaluation Committee. Thereafter, getting recommendations from the said Committee the individuals appointed in the year 2012 including the writ petitioner Dr.E.Murugaesan will be granted upward movement subject to their eligibility after consulting the advisory departments of the Secretariat."

4. In view of the above said compliance, this contempt petition stands closed.
