ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed to call for the documents pertaining the online order of rejection passed by the respondent dated Nil and quash the same as illegal and may appoint the petitioner, according to his eligibility, in any one of the post of Grade-II Police Constable, Jail Warden Grade-II and Firemen. 2.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that out of 4576 candidates, 407 candidates have secured the required cut-off marks. Their applications alone were considered and they were informed to attend the physical test along with the certificates, which were not properly uploaded at the time of submitting the on-line application. The same was informed to them through E-mail and telephonic message. The respondents have filed a counter affidavit in W.P(MD).No.21566 of 2019 etc., batch case, in which, paragraph Nos. 7 and 8, read as follows: 1/3

"7.It is further submitted that around 4576 candidates were rejected by the TNUSRB for not uploading the required necessary certificates. Out of 4576 candidates 4169 candidates did not secure the required cut-off marks in their respective community and hence they are ineligible for the next stage of selection process and the remaining 407 candidates have secured the required cut-off marks for the physical test.

8.It is further submitted that TNUSRB has now resolved to give one more opportunity to the 407 eligible candidates to appear for the physical test subject to production of required necessary certificates which they had failed to upload in their online application. Accordingly, the TNUSRB has informed the 407 eligible candidates through registered email id and registered mobile number to produce the necessary certificate to TNSURB on or before 25.10.2019, failing which, their candidatures will not be considered for further process of selection.

9.It is submitted that TNUSRB has also resolved to publish marks of the 4169 candidates on the TNUSRB web site who did not secure the required cut off marks and also published their result. It is further submitted that the aforesaid 6 writ petitioners have secured the required cutoff marks and hence, they will be allowed to appear for the physical test subject to the production of necessary required certificates within the stipulated time period".

The learned Additional Advocate General further submitted that the Government has taken a decision in this issue and permitted the candidates, who got eligible marks in the written examination, to participate in the subsequent selection process. 4.Recording the above said submissions of the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
