For Petitioner :Mr.G.S.Senthilkumar For R1 and R2 :Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (crl.side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police to provide protection to the petitioner basing on the representation given by her dated 25.08.2023.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a lonely lady and has got disputes in respect of the landed property with the unofficial respondent Nos.3 to 7 and O.S.No.308 of 2004 filed by the unofficial respondent Nos.3 to 7 has already been dismissed. It is submitted that the unofficial respondent Nos.3 to 7 have damaged the property and in respect of that, a complaint was filed earlier and after enquiry, it was closed. It is submitted further that again the petitioner is cultivating the land and the unofficial respondent Nos.3 to 7 have approached the petitioner and demanded to pay Rs. 10,00,000/- and threatened her with dire consequences, basing on which the 2/5

petitioner has filed a complaint to the respondent police dated 25.08.2023, however no action has been taken and therefore, sought for suitable directions. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the respondent No.7 has filed a complaint against the petitioner and the same is registered as CSR.No.675 of 2023 dated 28.07.2023 and the representation of the petitioner was received by the respondent police station by post and both the complaints have been enquired and requested short time to resolve the same. 4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, since the representation of the petitioner is being clubbed with the complaint given by the respondent No.7 and an enquiry is now being proceeded with, the respondent police are directed to complete the enquiry objectively by following the procedure, as expeditiously as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, this Petition is disposed of.
