...Contemnors/Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, praying this Court to punish the respondents for their wilful and deliberate disobedience of the order of this Court passed in W.P(MD) No.4345 of 2021 dated 03.03.2021.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S-12. To issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle interest at the rate of 18 precent per annum for the belated payment of petitioners terminal benefits including Gratuity, Terminal Leave Salay, Provident Fund and Commutated value of Pension from the date of his retirement to till the date on which the said benefits were settled to him and to pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of this case and thus render justice.

This contempt petition is filed that order of this Court in W.P(MD) No.4345 of 2021, dated 03.03.2021 has not been complied with.

2.Today (07.01.2022), when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is reported that as against the order of this Court in W.P(MD).No.4345 of 2021, the Transport Corporation filed a Writ Appeal and the same was also taken Cognizance by the Hon'ble Division bench in W.A(MD).No.2151 of 2021.

3.Since the issue has been seized by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court, this Contempt Petition is closed and liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh petition depending upon the out come of the order in W.A(MD).No.2151 of 2021.
