ORDER

The respondent/the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Employees' Provident Fund Organization, Regional Office, Trichy, has passed an order dated 05.10.2021 under Section 7Q of the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, imposing EPF interest to an extent of Rs.4,48,611/-. The petitioner/Establishment has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondent to permit the petitioner to remit the EPF interest amount on installment basis.

2. This writ petition has been filed in the year 2021. However, this writ petition has not been taken up for hearing for the past four years. 2/4

Considering the relief sought in this writ petition, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to pay the EPF interest amount, as claimed by the respondent, along with interest accrued as on date, within a period of six months in six equal monthly installments. No costs.
