(Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J.) Heard Mr.RM.Arun Swaminathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2.

2. The petitioner has filed this writ petition designed as a Public Interest Litigation seeking for a direction upon the respondents 1 and 2 to complete the work under the Kudimaramathu Scheme Veliyathur Tank in Veliyathur Village of Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District after proper inspection on the basis of the petitioner's villagers representations dated 26.08.2019 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. The learned Special Government Pleader has produced photographs before this Court which prima facie shows that the officials are inspecting the Kudimaramathu work.

4. From the averments set out in the affidavit filed in the writ petition, we find that the petitioner is not opposing the work, but, he wants proper inspection by the authorities so that the work will be done in a proper manner.

5. Since, we are satisfied with the stand taken by the learned Special Government Pleader that the authorities are inspecting the Kudimaramathu work, we direct the authorities, the second respondent in particular, to continue to have periodical inspection and ensure that the work is completed at expeditiously and efficiently and in a proper manner.
