O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner basing on the complaint given by the respondent No.3, who is none other than the wife of the petitioner.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that on account of the disputes between the petitioner and the respondent No.3, who is the wife of the petitioner, the respondent No.3 has filed a complaint before various police stations. It is submitted further that a divorce case filed by the petitioner against the respondent is pending before the Family Court, Sivagangai and basing on such false complaint given by the respondent No.3, the respondent No.2 police stated to have been harassing the petitioner. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the complaint given by the respondent No.3 is registered as CSR.No.478 of 2023 and an enquiry is being initiated and requested short time to complete the enquiry. 2/5

4.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the respondent police are directed to complete the enquiry in CSR.No.478 of 2023 as expeditiously as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by keeping in view that the dispute between the petitioner and the respondent No.3 is purely matrimonial in nature and that the divorce case is also pending before the Family Court, Sivagangai. The petitioner is also directed to bring the notice to the respondent police that the respondent No.3 has filed similar complaints in 3 various police stations, which were already closed.
