ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed against the order dated 01.08.2025 in IA No.1 of 2025 in unnumbered RTA/853/2025 on the file of the Rent Control Tribunal (Principal District and Sessions Court), 1/4

Madurai and order dated 31.01.2025 in RCOP No.5 of 2020 on the file of the Rent Controller cum District Munsif Court, Melur.

2. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the respondent, notice to the respondent is dispensed with. 3.The petitioner is the landlord and he filed RCOP No.5/2020 and the same was allowed against which, the respondent preferred an appeal with a delay in filing the appeal in IA No.1/2025 and the same was allowed. Challenging the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Though the Civil Revision Petition is filed challenging the order made in IA No.1/2025, in and by which, the delay was condoned in filing the appeal, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to the Court below to number the appeal and the appeal may be disposed of within a stipulated time.

5. I have considered the submissions and perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the limited relief now sought for by the petitioner, without adverting into the merits or the contentions made, the Court below is directed to number the appeal and dispose the same within a period of four months as per Section 36(2) of the RLTOP Act.

7. The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
