The petitioner with a grievance that the application filed by him before the second respondent under the Patta Passbook Act is still pending has filed this writ petition in the year 2018. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was assigned with a land in S.No.274/1 of Mangulam Village, Manamadurai Taluk, Sivagangai District and assignment patta was also granted to the petitioner on 25.09.1984. However, the patta was changed in the name of one Udhayasuriyan, the husband of the third respondent without any notice to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has filed an appeal petition before the Revenue Divisional officer in Na.Ka.No.1958/2012 and also filed a representation on 24.07.2018 to dispose of the same. However, the application filed by the petitioner is pending. 2/4

3.Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and considering the fact that appeal is pending from the year 2018, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's appeal in Na.Ka.No. 1958/2012 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
