ORDER
The present civil revision petition has been filed to expedite the suit in O.S.No.231 of 2024 on the file of the Sub Court, Kovilpatti. 3/6
2.The Hon'ble Apex Court, in Civil Appeal Nos.6264 to 6267 of 2024, by order dated 05.09.2024, had indicated that if any election petition/civil suit is filed, the same was hoped to be disposed of expeditiously, preferably within a period of one year. 3.In the present case, the suit has been filed in O.S.No.231 of 2024 on 22.10.2024, in which the service has been effected on the defendants and some of them were set ex parte and the case is at the stage of filing of the written statement.
4.In view of the observations made by the Hon'ble Supreme Court and also taking into account that the suit was instituted as early as in October 2024 and the period of one year is also over, there shall be a direction to the learned Sub Judge, Kovilpatti to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.231 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible but not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4/6
