PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2016 and consequently direct him to issue death certificate for the death of the petitioner's grandson, namely, Marudhapandi on 07.11.2014, due to the train accident as per the FIR in Crime No. 321/2014, on the file of the Railway Police, Egmore, Chennai. O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue death certificate for the death of the petitioner's grandson, namely, Marudhapandi on 07.11.2014, due to the train accident as per the FIR in Crime No.321/2014, on the file of the Railway Police, Egmore, Chennai by considering the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2016.

2.On 09.02.2023, when this writ petition was taken up for hearing, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was ordered to be listed on 10.02.2023, under the caption "for dismissal". Even today (10.02.2023), there is no representation for the petitioner.

3.In view of the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
