ORDER

Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.J.Senthil Kumaraiah, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondent.

2.This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the Appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 29.09.2021 sent through registered post on 16.11.2021.

3.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4.According to the petitioner, while he was working as Conductor in the respondent Corporation, he was terminated from service by the General Manager of the respondent Corporation vide his proceedings dated 25.08.2021 and as against which, he preferred an statutory Appeal on 29.09.2021 to the Managing Director of the respondent Corporation and the same was also sent to the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.22225 of 2021 through a registered post on 16.11.2021. The said Appeal is pending with the respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner seeks Mandamus to the respondent to dispose of the Appeal within a prescribed time limit that may be fixed by this Court.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the Appeal preferred by the appellant is still pending and the same shall be disposed of at the earliest and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law.

6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for both sides, and also considering the limited scope of prayer as sought by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on merits, directs the respondent to take a decision on the Appeal dated 29.09.2021 preferred by the petitioner at the earliest and pass appropriate orders therein, in accordance with law and on merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of . No costs.
