ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that her complaint has not been enquired by the respondent Police, has filed this writ petition.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the complaint was directly lodged before the Deputy Superintendent of Police and it was also referred to the respondent Police for enquiry and they are conducting the enquiry as current paper enquiry.

3. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

4. There is no proceedure in the name of current paper enquiry. The respondent Police is directed to conduct a preliminary enquiry and in the event, if any cognizable offence is made out, register a case and take appropriate action, otherwise, close the complaint. If the complaint is closed, a closure report shall be furnished to the petitioner to workout her remedy in the manner known to law.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 2/4
