O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2.

2. In view of the order proposed to be passed, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

3. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

4. The petitioner made a complaint regarding mis-appropriation of panchayat funds by the third respondent - President. The District Collector is the Inspector of Panchayats under the Act and is empowered to conduct an enquiry in these matters. Thus, the first respondent is directed to look into the complaint given by the petitioner and take necessary action, if required, by following the procedures as contemplated under the Act and Rules.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
