Heard Ms.A.Banumathy, learned Counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate for Respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Rajarajan, learned Counsel for Respondent No.3. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking consideration of the representation given by the petitioner on 15.10.2021 seeking patta for S.No.310/1A to an extent of 18 cents situated at Puliyangudi, Tenkasi District. The petitioner is the President of Potters Employees Association.
3.It is stated by Ms.A.Banumathy, learned Counsel that in the aforesaid lands, the petitioners had doing pottery business by taking clay from the soil, baking the clay and then making mud pots. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.22223 of 2021 This particular land is classified in the revenue records as Sullai (kiln) poramboke. The petitioners belong to Hindu Kulalar (Velar) community. It is a minority society. They have been doing this particular business from the year 1932 in the aforesaid lands. Now having formed an Association, they seek patta to be granted. They have filed necessary application.
4.The second respondent/Tahsildar is directed to enquire the petitioner, make a field visit of the particular area and if all other records are in order, proceed further to comply with the requisitions made in the application of the petitioner herein. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the said directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. The Registry may amend description of the second respondent as Tahsildar, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District, before issuing the order copy.
