PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri to expedite the trial pending in C.C.No.347 of 2018 within the time stipulated fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.N.Balasubramanian For Respondent : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.Side) O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri to expedite the trial in C.C.No.347 of 2018 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that based on the complaint given by one Thangapazham, a case in 347 of 2018 has been registered against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) IPC on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri and that though the charges have been framed, so far the trial has not been commenced, hence, sought for a direction to the concerned Court to expedite the trial.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent submitted that after framing charges, P.W.1 was examined and the case is posted to 20.09.2023 for the evidence of other witnesses and that there are 11 witnesses in this case.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the learned Judicial Magistrate, Sivagiri, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.347 of 2018 as quickly as possible not later than six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 15.09.2023 NCC : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Yuva 2/4
