ORDER

The petitioner filed this writ petition for a mandamus seeking patta in respect of the land measuring 486 sq.ft comprised in S.No.298/4 in Door No. 4/15, South Street, Utthapuram, Periyoor Taluk, Madurai District. 2.There is no representation for the petitioner, even though the matter is listed under the caption 'for dismissal'.

3.Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the land in S.No.298/4 stands in the name of one Thangam. The petitioner approached the authorities for patta in the strength of a settlement deed executed by her husband. But the settlement deed has been wrongly made by entering a wrong survey number. Therefore, the request of the petitioner for patta has already been rejected by the respondents. 2/4

4.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition stands closed, with a direction to the respondents to furnish a copy of the rejection order to the petitioner, enabling her to file an appeal, if she so advised. There shall be no order as to costs. Index :
