: Contemnors/Respondents PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondent for the willful and deliberate disobedience to the orders of this Court made in W.P.(MD) No.12776 of 2021, dated 29.07.2021.

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondents to pay the petitioner interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum, for the period of delay from 01.04.2020 to 01.06.2021, in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal and pension benefits of the petitioner namely EPF Employees Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned/Sick Leaves and Commutated Value of Pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honble Court and without affecting his right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits and thus render justice.

ORDER

Alleging non-compliance of the orders of this Court in W.P.(MD) No.12776 of 2021, dated 29.07.2021, the petitioner has filed this contempt petition.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for the respondents submitted that the orders of this Court has been complied with. Learned Counsel for the petitioner though endorsed the said submission, raised certain objection with regard to the calculation of interest for the commutation amount. Therefore, he prayed for a direction to the respondents to furnish the copy of the calculation memo arrived by them. 3.In view of the aforesaid submission, this contempt petition stands closed. However, the respondents Corporation shall furnish a copy of the calculation memo arrived by them to the petitioner and the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same, if so advised.
