2. This is a petition for considering the representation of the petitioner for premature release of the life convict Kathirvel (C.P.No.3977).

3. The respondents have filed counter, wherein, it is stated that the proposal for premature release is under active consideration of the first respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents states that appropriate decision will be taken within a period of eight weeks.

5. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
