PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 to 5 to keep the Survey Proceedings in abeyance in respect of the Sf.No.87/9A of Rangiyan Viduthi Revenue Village formerly Alangudi Taluk, Tiruchy District, now Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District and direct the first respondent to expedite the appeal petition dated 31.03.2022 and pass final order within the time frame fixed by this Court.

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner with a grievance that certain corrections were made during the UDR has filed an application on 31.03.2022 and his application has not been taken up for hearing.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the second respondent is conducting an 2/5

enquiry on the application submitted by the petitioner and necessary orders would be passed within a reasonable time.

4. Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the enquiry as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants, if any. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
