PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, restraining the respondents, their men and agents from converting the irrigation channel running through Ayyan Punjai S.F.Nos.79/16, 80/5,114/5,115/13,120/1,120/5,177/1,182/7,181/2,180/1,197/5,195/3 in West-East direction at Pinnaiur East Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District into a roadway by laying road in the said 1/4

irrigation channel and direct the respondents to maintain the said irrigation channel as water course.

This Writ Petition is filed restraining the respondents, from converting the irrigation channel running through Ayyan Punjai S.F.Nos.79/16, 80/5, 114/5,1 15/13,120/1,120/5,177/1,182/7,181/2, 180/1, 197/5, 195/3, Pinnaiur East Village, Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District into a roadway.

2.Today(24.02.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No 2/4
