ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.R.Swaminathan J.) Contending that the direction given by this Court vide order dated 07.06.2024 in W.A(MD)No.2060 of 2023 has not been complied with, this Contempt Petition came to be filed.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the contemnors submitted that, as early as on 19.08.2024, a sum of Rs.5,23,844/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Twenty Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Four only) was deposited before the Court concerned. It was further stated that the 2/4

petitioner had suppressed this fact. Copy of the acknowledgment card signed by the petitioner has also been produced before us. There is no reference to the receipt of the communication from the respondents in the affidavit filed in support of the contempt petition. We therefore close the contempt petition with liberty to the petitioner to revive the same, if necessary.

3.This Contempt Petition stands closed.
