PRAYER:- Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to disburse the crop insurance claim for the petitioner's land, totally an extent of 6.54 acres for the land situated in the Ulur Village (EAST), Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District within the time specified by this Court based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2021.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to disburse the crop insurance claim for the petitioner's land situated in the Ulur Village (EAST), Orathanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District within the time specified by this Court, based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2021.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader produced the written instructions received from the third respondent and the relevant portions are extracted hereunder:- 2/6
"For the year 2020-21, the petitioner W.P (MD) No 22244/2021 (P.Suseela) insured for the extent of 6.54 acres through PACCS.
Before commencement of claim amount, the relevent documents have verified by VAO's with Assistant Agriculture Officers of that village, hence the area of insured is higher than area cultivated as per revenue records.
Based on the above said verification process, Excess area deleted and actual insured area accepted report sent to Commissionerate and in turn it also forwarded to concern company.
After that, based on the grievance received from the petitioner, We again sent the corrected list which included the area of deletion (Genuine ID) to Commissionarate, it also forwarded to company as per reference cited 2&3 Claim Percentage for the Ulur East village was 64%. The sum insured amount for 1 acre was Rs.32550/-. As per the mail dated 24th November 2023 received from IFFCO- TOKIO General Insurance Company to Joint Director of Agriculture, Thanjavur, The claim amount. (Rs.95563) was credited to the Petitioner Account for the 6.54 acres (Acc. No. 709790719, Bank Name: Thanjavur Central Cooperative Bank, Branch: Orathanadu, Credited Date: 20.11.2023). So, the grievance of concerned Petitioner was rectified by the payment of IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance Company based on the recommendation of Agriculture Department." 3/6
