This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner to call for the records pertaining to the impugned amended G.O.(Ms) No.87, dated 06.06.2016, of the 1st respondent and to quash the same and consequently direct the 4th respondent to promote the petitioner from the post of 'Gang Mazdoor' to the post of 'Road Inspector Grade II', within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Court.

Today when the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that pursuant to the revised Notification in G.O.Ms.No.1 Highways and Minor Ports (HR1) Department dated 05.01.2018, the special rules were inserted, whereby the petitioner's grievance was redressed. The said submission was recorded.
4. In view of the above, no effective/further order can be passed in the present Writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
