ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking orders to direct the first respondent to issue an order of approval of the petitioner's application, dated 16.02.2024 submitted before the fourth respondent in respect of renewal of the petitioner's license for the retail sale of fire crackers for the period 2024-2025 at his own shop, namely Saroja fireworks, situated at Door No.599E, UDR.S.No.114/3A, Mariamman Nagar, Vandiyur Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai within a time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is running the cracker shop from 2019 onwards and that the petitioner has submitted a representation, dated 16.02.2024 to the fourth respondent, but no order came to be passed till now. 2/4

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the representation given by the petitioner to the fourth respondent was forwarded to the first respondent on 28.08.2024 and the same is pending before the first respondent.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders within a period of one week from today (i.e., 24.09.2024). 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
