ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to survey his property covered under the gift deed dated 21.05.2025, situated at Keelaiyur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, comprised in Survey No.325, SubDivision 7A1B, measuring 0.24.3 hectares, on the basis of his application dated 07.08.2025.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.J.Vishnu, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, the subject property was gifted to him by his father, Jayaprakash, under a registered gift deed dated 21.05.2025. The patta for the said property stands in his name under Patta No.3763. The petitioner submitted an application on 07.08.2025 in Application No. 2025/0123/24/018770, seeking survey of the subject property. However, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the application of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 07.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighbouring landowners, and other interested parties, if any.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
