O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents No.2 to cancel the patta issued to the respondents No. 3 to 6 for their property in Survey No. 121/11, 121/12 and 127A-3, for an 2/6
extent of 94 Cents situated Kavalipatti Village, Thiruvonam, Orattanad Taluk by considering petitioner's representation dated 08.08.2023 within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

The petitioner submitted a representation dated 08.08.2023 to the respondents No.2 to cancel the patta issued to the respondents Nos.3 to 6 for their property in Survey No. 121/11, 121/12 and 127A-3, for an extent of 94 Cents situated Kavalipatti Village, Thiruvonam, Orathanadu Taluk However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents, submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority to consider the representation of the petitioner. However, the petitioner has not submitted any representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer. On the other hand, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Tahsildar has to consider the representation of the petitioner. 3/6

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, in view of the fact that the writ petition was of the year 2023, and whoever is the competent person incharge to dispose the representation, ie., either the Tahsildar or the Revenue Divisional Officer, they shall dispose of the said representation on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be concluded within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. For the said purpose, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Orathanadu, Taluk, Thanjavur District is suo-motu impleaded as respondent No.7. The petitioner is directed to send a copy of the representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Orathanadu, Taluk, Thanjavur District. Needless to say, if any rival claims, the same shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
