Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order issued by the 2nd respondent herein in Ne.Mu. No.A7/1082/2023 dated 24.04.2023 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to issue Hindu Kaniyan Community Certificate to the petitioner's children within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The Writ Petition has been instituted against the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirunelveli District in proceedings dated 24.04.2023.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents made a submission that the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the District Collector challenging the said order and therefore, the petitioner has to pursue the appeal, which is pending before the District Collector.

3. In view of the above submission the District Collector/first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
