Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court To issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to provide adequate police protection to ensure the protective life of the Petitioner and his family members by conducting enquiry based on the representation dated 10.11.2020.

ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent for disobeying the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.17652 of 2020 dated 04.12.2020, thereby directed the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2020 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent conducted an enquiry and registered a case in Crime No.57 of 2021 as against the accused person. After completion of investigation, filed a final report before the Additional Mahila Court, Dindigul and the same has been taken cognizance in Spl.S.C.No.100 of 2021.
