ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to select the petitioner for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales), under Other Backward Class Category, pursuant to Advertisement No.CRPD/CR/2016-17/01, dated 05.04.2016, issued by the first respondent, by conducting Main Exam and Interview as a Special 1/4
case for the petitioner, within the time limit fixed by this Court, if the petitioner is otherwise qualified and eligible.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner completed B.E.(E.C.E.) and belongs to OBC category and she is eligible to apply for the post of Junior Associate(Customer Support&Sales) in State Bank of India. The first respondent called for explanation for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and Junior Agricultural Associates in Clerical Cadre in State Bank of India vide advertisement dated 05.04.2016 and the petitioner has also applied for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales). The recruitment process has three stages viz., (i) Preliminary Exam; (ii) Main Exam and (iii) Personal Interview. The petitioner was allotted with roll number and register number. Thereafter, the petitioner received a call letter to attend the preliminary exams at P.S.N.
College of Engineering and Technology, Tirunelveli. The petitioner attended the preliminary exam. The candidates, who have cleared the preliminary exams including the petitioner had been issued with admit card for attending main exams on 26.06.2016. Accordingly, the petitioner reached the examination centre on 26.06.2016 around 08.00a.m., and she was allotted with System LAB1,CO95. The two officials of State Bank of India, who were present in the examination centre, had verified the admit card of all candidates.
3. At the time of verification, the SBI Officials raised query about the petitioner's initial. The petitioner had given explanation by stating that her initial is R.K., in which, 'R' stands her father's name and 'K' stands her mother's name. Thereafter the petitioner was directed to show the proof for the same. Immediately, she had also produced the Adhaar Card and Ration Card to support her explanation. On a perusal of the same, the SBI Officials instead of accepting the same, had started to abuse her and threatened her to leave the hall.
4. Thereafter, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondents on 28.06.2016. However, no response was forthcoming from the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.
5. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, in order to show her identify, had produced the Adhaar Card and Ration Card and hence, this Court may pass appropriate orders.
6. Learned Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the facts in the present case are not in dispute. Admittedly, the petitioner cleared the preliminary examination and 2/4
was therefore, directed to appear for main examination and in the examination centre, the petitioner has to produce the photo identity card to match her name and her identify. However, the petitioner had failed to produce the photo identity card, for which, the petitioner was not permitted to write main examination. In the absence of any proof, the petitioner is not entitled to get any relief as sought for by the petitioner. Hence, the learned Counsel would pray for dismissal of the writ petition.
7. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
8. The facts in the present case are not in dispute. It is also an admitted fact that the petitioner has possessed B.E. (E.C.E.) and belongs to OBC category and she applied for the post of Junior Associate(Customer Support&Sales) in State Bank of India and she also cleared the preliminary examination. The grievance of the petitioner is that she was not permitted to write main examination on the ground that she did not produce the photo identity card. The petitioner claims that she produced the PAN card, Ration card and Adhaar card, in order to show her identity proof. However, on a perusal of the same, it would reveal that the petitioner's name only appeared in the PAN card and her initial is not appeared. Further, on a perusal of the ration card, the petitioner's photo identity is not available and her father's photo only available.
Further, the petitioner did not produce her Adhaar card and only produced her mother's Adhaar card. Hence, the petitioner is not able to produce her photo identity. It is the duty of the petitioner to bring the valid picture photo identity card, while attending the examination. Without producing any valid photo identity, the petitioner is not entitled to get any relief before this Court. The respondents officials rightly denied the petitioner for writing main examination, which cannot be blamed by the petitioner.
9. For the reasons aforesaid, this writ petition sans merit and, accordingly, the same is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
