ORDER
The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 B.N.S.S., seeking orders to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner's relative one Meenachi, FIR came to be registered in Crime No.84 of 2024 for the alleged offences under Sections 296(b) and 115(2) BNS and Section 4 of TN Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 against the private respondents and one Ravi and that subsequently the petitioner herself has given a complaint and on that basis, CSR No. 169 of 2024 came to be registered and the same was ordered to be closed 2/4
on the ground that civil suit is pending between the parties.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 3 and 4 would submit that the petitioner's mother and brother have already filed a suit in O.S.No.516 of 2023 claiming partition and the same is pending on the file of the 4th Additional District and Sessions Court, Madurai.
4. Since the civil suit is pending between the parties, the petitioner is at liberty to canvass her case before the Court where the suit is pending.
5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
