O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking for a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Crime No.167 of 2023 dated 08.10.2022, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 447, 427, 294(b) and 506(2) IPC.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the case has been registered, there is no substantial progress in the investigation. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that so far two witnesses have been examined and the investigation is actively progressed and requested short time to complete the investigation. 4.In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and considering the nature of the offences alleged against the proposed accused, this Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the 2/4

investigation in Crime No.167 of 2023 as quickly as possible, not later than 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
