This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to transfer the enquiry in C.S.R.Nos.221 and 224 of 2023 to some other Police officer.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the marriage of the petitioner was performed on 08.02.2021, after giving birth a child, disputes arose between the petitioner and her husband. The petitioner has filed a complaint before respondent No.2 Police in C.S.R.No.221 of 2023 and no action has been taken. Therefore, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand submits that after conclusion of enquiry, C.S.R.No.221 of 2023 was closed as both the parties have reported before the respondent Police that they will settle the disputes amicably before the family elders. So far as C.S.R.No.224 of 2023 is concerned, as there are allegations in respect of the domestic violence and also dowry harassment, thereby, the complaint was referred to the District Social Welfare Officer and report is awaited. It is submitted that they will complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.224 of 2023 as quickly as possible. 2/4

In view of the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.224 of 2023, as quickly as possible not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 11.09.2023 NCC:yes/no Index:yes/no Internet:yes/no tsg To 1.The Superintendent of Police, Pudukkottai, Pudukkottai District.
