ORDER
The petitioners sought for quashing of the impugned final report in P.R.C.No. 12 of 2020 pending on the file of the learned I District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Radhapuram, Tirunelveli District, registered for the alleged offences under Sections 120B, 147, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468 I.P.C. and Sections 3(1)(g) and 3(1)(p) of SC / ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015.
2. The gist of the allegation is that the petitioners had forged certain documents and claimed title over the property that belonged to the defacto complainant and also humiliated the defacto complainant and thus committed the aforesaid offences.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the parties have now arrived at a compromise and the defacto complainant is willing to withdraw as against all the accused, including those who have not filed the quash petition.

4. The parties have also filed a joint compromise memo dated 24.10.2025. The petitioners and the second respondent are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.T.Johnson, S.S.I., Radhapuram Police Station. Both the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on instructions would submit that the defacto complainant had received a sum of Rs.70,000/- as compensation from the Adi Dravidhar Department and that a direction may be issued to the defacto complainant to deposit the said amount to the Department.

Considering the nature of allegations and the fact that the defacto complainant does not wish to pursue the case, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned final report in P.R.C.No. 12 of 2020 pending on the file of the learned I District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Radhapuram, Tirunelveli 3/6
District, is hereby quashed in toto. The defacto complainant shall deposit the sum of Rs.70,000/- within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Failing which, the order passed by this Court shall stand vacated without further reference to this Court. The joint compromise memo dated 24.10.2025, shall form part and parcel of the order.
