ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to cancel Patta No.1265 issued in favour of the fourth respondent, insofar as it relates to the property comprised in Survey Nos.532/3A2 and 532/3B, situated at Kottakudi Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.04.2024.

Heard the arguments of Mr.M.Sathiamoorthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate for the third respondent. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with. By consent of both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, the subject property was assigned in favour of her husband, Pandi, on 12.06.1981 by the Special Tahsildar (Land Reforms), Madurai. However, without considering the said assignment, the 2/5
second respondent issued Patta in favour of the fourth respondent in the year 2003. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before respondents 1 and 2 on 29.04.2024 seeking cancellation of the Patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above submission, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.04.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the fourth respondent. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.08.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes skn 3/5
