PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to pay the terminal benefits and family pension to the petitioner herein based on the proceedings of the Accountant General dated 17.04.2024 and 22.04.2024 within a stipulated period of time to be fixed by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee, seeking a mandamus for directing the respondents to disburse the terminal benefits and family pension based upon the proceedings of the Accountant General, dated 17.04.2024 and 22.04.2024.

2.On instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that no departmental proceedings are pending as against the writ petitioner and the petitioner has been permitted to retire w.e.f.30.04.2024.

3.In view of the above said facts, the respondent authorities are directed to disburse the terminal benefits and other eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pendency of W.P.(MD)No.7525 of 2024 will not be a legal impediment for the authorities to process the pension proposals. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
