O R D E R

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to correct the name of the petitioner's wife in the patta No.2996 in respect of the property situate in 1020/6 in Sevugampatti Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District by considering his application, dated 18.09.2024.

2.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.According to the petitioner, the subject property originally belongs to his mother and she executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioner and his wife under the registered sale deed, dated 21.05.1979 and thereafter, the revenue documents were mutated in the name of the 2/5

petitioner and his wife in patta No.2996. In the patta issued to the petitioner, the name of his wife is wrongly mentioned as Thangamani S/o.Iyyadurai instead of Thangamani W/o.A.Sola Rajan. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an online application on 18.09.2024 seeking correction in the revenue documents, but the same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the respondent issued a notice in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.5769/2024/M4, dated 13.12.2024 and the enquiry is pending.

5.In view of the fact that the respondent already initiated enquiry based on the application submitted by the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the online application of the petitioner dated 18.09.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and his wife.
